Can't always use a surface gap plug though

Used to use retracted nose plugs in Karts.
Wonder how we'd index them ?

I'm still waiting for Mr GAS to come in and say it can't be done on Rover heads because they're rubbish.

Smoky Yunick did extensive dyno testing on this (and many other tricks that some engine builders were obsessed with) and found no discernible benefit.

    Too true.

My favourite chuckle with performance seeking is the dragsters - especially top fuel - where you see how much money is spent on performance from the engines, and lightening the total vehicle - space-age technology abounding - and then an overweight drag car racing driver jumps in.

Save some money on the burgers and chips, save a lot more in reducing the weight of your drag car.

And years ago I did dyno testing of tricks that other engine builders had thrown away and picked up repeatable improvements.

It all comes down the the specs and combinations used.

Re: For Spark plugs fans . Indexing

So does mean I'd be wasting my time indexing my glow plugs, because I need every tenth of horsepower.

mate of mine was talking about indexing on turbo chev boats.
it was all about vibrations and plug electrode failures.these multi electrode plugs are suposed to FIX all this.

with the falcon and V8 disco its easy to work out.look at the shadow of crud on elecrode to see wht way to set it at.

more woried about getting the same voltages at each plug.
