Defender foot rest and seat risers

Two questions from an 08 Defender 130 owner with disgruntled front seat passenger / wife

Firstly, any comments on whether the Exmoor seat risers are worth the bother and provide a bit more room? Does this come at great expense (ie room) for those behind you, or do they go up enough? (Sorry about the poor English)

Second, is there an overpriced LR product or creative after market solution to the lack of a left foot rest for the Defender?

Answers to these won't save a relationship but they can't hurt

you can get some seat rail extensions that give you a little more room.

something like THIS?

pretty sure a few different brands make them.

i had the 'foot rest'(discovery) but 'upgraded' (defender)

You could pretty easily make a foot rest out of wood.. Or failing that grab a phone book and plonk it on the floor.
