Here are a couple of photos that are ambitious conversions.
The Offy Twin was a four cylinder 220 in a Champ car that disembowelled itself big time and the remains made into a twin for a midget speedcar. I have no information as to whether it was successful or not.
The V16 Chev. was made from two small blocks by a welding and fabrication company to demonstrate their expertise.
Both engines, and many others, are in Speedy Bill Smith's Museum of American Speed in Lincoln, Nebraska, next door to his enormous speed equipment business, Speedway Motors.
