    1977 RRC Gearbox questions

Okay so I have a 1977 RR Classic,

Any ways it has no rear diff in it atm, Due to it being busted, Long story that one,

Any ways I drove it from the front lawn (only had it for a couple days) to back yard, washed it down with pressure cleaner, Engione bay and underneath a real good go,

Now I have no drive to the front wheels, Uninformed explained to me that its because the center diff lock is disenagaged and making all the power go to the rear were there is no diff, this makes sense to me,

But how do I re engage it, Is it a lever or something, I cant find anything, or am I missing it,

Button on the floor near the heater, lift it up with the engine running and it activates the diff lock with engine vacuum. There should be a diff lock light come on in the instrument cluster.

from memory it should be right near the main gear lever and the little gear lever for High and Low range. Its got a round top on it and you pull it up to lock.

Ill try and add some pics for you:

its just to the right of the main gear lever.

yeah check out the linkages etc. This gearbox is a bit of a beast. Not the smoothest but pretty bloody strong if looked after. Full time 4wd with center difflock has many advantages.

The vacuum lines are known for falling down onto the exhaust and melting and so on, so it'll be worth checking the whole lot. One little hose from the inlet manifold to the vacuum switch, and two hoses from the switch to the actuator on the front output of the gearbox.
At any given point in time, somewhere in the world someone is working on a Land-Rover.
