Hi All,
I am looking for some help if posssible with this bearing,
I believe the 2 x FRC2301 bearings were upgraded in the Isuzu 3.9 LT85's used in Australia,
I used to have one here on the shelf for many years and paid no attention to it until today when I went to look for it as we have had a customer have his fail in 6K miles and I thought it would be a good idea to try the HD upgrade,
from memory this was a different bearing with more rollers and had an external sleeve to get to the correct OD,
if anyone has any info on this it would be appreciated as I am struggling to find a suitable bearing,
thanks,
Dave

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
Many thanks Justin,
much appreciated,
Dave

What are you currently charging for reconditioned LT85 (Isuzu) without the exchange? What shipping costs"

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
Dave, while it is possible (I'm in no position to know, one way or the other) JRA (Jaguar Rover Australia) modified the bearing in the LT85 when they fitted the Isuzu engine. Most LT85's used with the Isuzu engine suffer bearing problems (short life).
Maxi-Drive Engineering was one well known company here who modified the Lt85 to make them last longer. I'm not aware of anyone taking over this part of what Mal did. Barry at Hi-Tough Engineering worked for Mal, and took over the axle side of the business, may know. Someone at MR Automotive (who took over other parts of the business) may know.
Sorry I don't have details of what bearings they used, hopefully JC or someone like Uninformed on here can help.
stop playing with these old boxes and sort out the adaption of the newer 6 speed.
Ill see what I can find out
