Gear box question
Hey guys, not sure if this is the section for my question but here goes, I have a clunk coming from the gear box, turns out when I drop the tail shaft from the handbrake drum there was the large nut and was loose as buggery, I tightened it up and the clunk nearly disappeared, two days later and the clunk is back, Is there something I need to do? or just tighten it up, or beyond tighten it??? is this common???
please help, cheers Mark.

Firstly, given you've posted in General Chat, we've no idea what vehicle you're needing help with.
If you can at least give us which model and year we can start to help.

Move over Dave, but you are right about the posting should be under, say Discovery 1. http://www.aulro.com/afvb/discovery-1/
Fifty lashes for the mistake the new chum has made, but who is going to be the whipping boy?
Mark, is that gearbox a LT77 in your Disco that you are talking about?
Drop into JC, he has a quantity of those nuts and should be able to put you straight on how to keep them tight.
