Thread: 200tdi tailshaft in 300tdi?

I'm swapping my rear tail shaft in the disco to get rid of the dreaded rubber doughnut and was wondering if the 200tdi tail shaft is a viable swap?

I may be wrong but as i understand it the 200tdi had uni joints rather than a rubber doughnut. Will it fit in my 300tdi or would i be better off continuing down the road of a RRC tail shaft and conversion kit?

If it has a uni it will be essentially the same as an RRC t/shaft so will fit with the matching yoke/flange .
