your diagram would be correct for a series and is how I remember doing it when the spring shop in townsville asked for the measurement.

Have a read of that and pay attention to the different eye forms. Changing the eye form changes the measurement in a different way in all cases, the same amount in 2 of them and more in the third.
My advise is to talk to the suspension shop you're going to and ask them how they want to do the measurement.
