    Free Camber

    Which is the correct way to measure the free camber on a leaf spring, A or B ? .W.

    A is the measurement you're after when no load is on the spring.

    your diagram would be correct for a series and is how I remember doing it when the spring shop in townsville asked for the measurement.

    both those versions can be used.

    Then it gets complicated.
    Suspension Specialists, Technical Bulletin Number 4

    Have a read of that and pay attention to the different eye forms. Changing the eye form changes the measurement in a different way in all cases, the same amount in 2 of them and more in the third.


    My advise is to talk to the suspension shop you're going to and ask them how they want to do the measurement.
