    TD5 Injector damaged

I've got the Deefer in about 1,000 pieces at the moment & knocked an injector off my workbench onto the floor & did the below.
It seems that it is only some kind of keeper & will still do 98% of its job.
    Anybody have different thoughts?

Don't think the plastic does much I would be more concerned about dirt getting in the input holes

Really - would you put a broken bit back into your engine and hope it doesn't fall apart??
I'd would replace it and avoid driving around with your fingers crossed.
    Peace of mind...

Yep, got that one watched. I took it to a Diesel specialist in Bayswater who had a faulty one & he managed to swap the part over. Apparently they are not serviceable but he " had a go" - cost a slab !!
I would have bidded on yours but what stopped me is the engine would have then had to have been re programmed.
Thank & good luck, it should sell OK.

There are two companies in Melbourne that have the correct gear to service and recalibrate the TD5 injectors. Not cheap however - one of them quoted $420 to $480 to service, so a fix for a slab is a good result.

Possibly. I emailed to ask if they serviced and/or repaired and got a reply with $420 next to one part, and $480 next to the other. They didn't respond to an email asking for clarification.

These youtube videos show the rig required to test the Td5 EUI's in action. It requires software and hardware that are specific to the TD5 injectors which is why most businesses will say "not serviceable"..
