VDO Water Temp gauge install questions

    Hi All

I am wanting to replace my current water temp gauge in my 1998 300TDi Defender with a VDO unit for a bit more accuracy on what the water temp is doing. The current/original gauge never moves off the "C".

Can I use the existing temp sender (which I only replaced recently)?

    Thanks

No, you need a new sender.

Your choices are electrical or mechanical. The VDO mechanical gauge comes with the correct thread to do a straight swap for the 300TDI factory sender.
