Thread: Alternator differences

Hi
Just about to fit up a pre-loved A133-65 Lucas to the County thanks to Bradtot
But a couple of slight differences with the one I've now removed. The old on had 2 wires coming out the back and going to an Ingrams regulator near the radiator shroud.
The new one has what looks like two condensors piggybacked on it - are these doing the same job as the older regulator was? And I can ignore the reg? There was also a brown wire on a spade connector near the neg terminal on the old one - so I assume I'll need to put this on the neg post now?
