    Plastic Bumper Repairs

I've got a few cracks in my bumper plastic which I can repair, but I have an actual chunk missing. It's too big to use filler so I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions of where I could get some plastic, or any other suggestions.

IMHO a plastic bumper that is 10 years old (I'm assuming you still have the 2003 D2a as in your sig) is not worth repairing. With age and exposure they become very brittle and shatter/crack with the slightest bump.

I do indeed have 2003 D2, I also have a wife who doesn't like me spending money on the car (and is about to get a surprise when the car is 2 inch higher with bigger tyres) so may have a car purchase freeze for a while!

I'll keep an eye out for a cheaper bumper - really want a roobar but have even looking for 9 months so far.

    Hi there Shakey,

Why not call into a wrecker or smash repairer and ask for a scrap bumper from which you can cut a piece that will fit the hole in yours.

    Cheers, Jurgens.

Thanks, good idea - they might even have a complete one (here's hoping!)

If you are not permitted a new steel bar, try a fibreglass kit from Supercheap etc for about $25.
