Does the Defender TD5 have a ($100) boost modulator the same as the D2 TD5 that is prone to failure, often in the unregulated position?
Defender 130 2003 Td5
Down the highway @ 110 k's the turbo spooled up, I could hear it after 5 secs or so then it stopped.
did this several times. When @ 100k never did it.

I know that initially the Defer's engine wasn't fitted with one which probably explains its lower power output but thought that by 2003 LR may have had a change of heart, especially for the 130.

If you have not got a boost gauge fitted it may be a good idea as they can give a good indication of what is happening. They are not expensive.
