the Td5 clutch plate goes in differently to what you think, the longer spigot section goes towards the crankshaft.

A quick bit of advice required:
I had some T/F box trouble on the road so in Mt Isa had the transmission out and took the opportunity to do rear main seal, pilot bearing and throwout bearing.
Now when reassembling I cannot remember which way round the clutch plate goes onto the Td5.
There is a little T stamped there, is that the "Transmission" side?
Help....getting too old for this sort of thing, short term memory is crap...didn't we just talk about that?
Regards Old Rangie

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
Thanks Justin, you are a legend.
After I posted, I found a couple of threads on the spigot direction. I knew it was an issue, just couldn't find the threads.
BTW you might remember the old Defender 130 ex Telstra with Falcon Engineering Alloy body.
Whilst in Tassie a couple of years back you were kind enough to do a quick wheel brg change for me before I caught the ferry back home.
I have subsequently become very quick at doing wheel brgs on the road side. Now all done but I suspect its the heavy load it carries and the punishment it gets. Rear tyre life is shocking. Just keep rotating and carry two spares.
Thanks Old Rangie
Yes! I do remember, and then we saw you at the boat on our way back from Melbourne after dropping off a truck. Glad all is OK,
