Thread: 4HP22 Won't Change up to 4th

Just finished a rebuild on the auto in my 300tdi D1. Everything went OK for the first 80 or so k's then stopped changing up to 4th - loosened off the kickdown cable (new cable) a bit and it was good again, but only for 1/2 hour or so, loosened again and once more a temporary fix only.

Any ideas guys?

check that the kick down cable isnt binding/sticking inside, dissconect the cable and drive the car like a manual, if it goes into top/4th then the problem is in the kickdown cable
