    Carling swith 4 pole wiring

    Hi all,

If I want to connect the following switch to drive my work light what would be the best way to wire it up. It would be nice to have the light on when the work light is on.

I should add that my current config is on the earth wire and is inline. So i have live running to the work light and an earth running back to the switch connected to the bottom pole and the from the second pole from the bottom back to earth.

    Does that add up?

Wire your dash lights to the top two and power to the work light to the bottom two

edit: the way your wiring it is called negative switching

    double edit:
so dash light positive to top left and negative to the right top.
(for positive switching) then live for light to middle left and power to light on the bottom left.
(for negative switching) your earth from light will come back to the middle left and ground bottom left

why do you want to switch it negatively?

    Triple edit:
    found this
