    Steering Box Seal

    Hi there I have a leak at the bottom of my steering box on my Defender as I am about to take the pittman arm off I am hoping to replace the seal at the same time is this easy enough to do and are deals readally available Stephen

    Easy enough to do in situ. You should be able to get a seal kit easy enough as well.

    I don't think it's a good idea to replace the seal with the box in situ. Plenty of oil will pour out. I tried to replace the seal but everything was flogged out. Ended up replacing the box. If everything is in good order the seal is straight forward.
