    Hi all, turned out that it was the very rear uni joint. I've had uni's go before but they never ever made the car behave like that. thanks all that responded, I appreciate it

    Mine vibrates only between 95-105. Weird and I still don't know why.

    Note to self: always use a lever of some sort to check for worn unis. Merely wriggling them with the hand is not enough. That's why it wasn't apparent the rear one was stuffed. It also helps if the wheels are off the ground, so the shaft extends.

    Agreed,
    last time i took the shaft off to troubleshoot, it was a front shaft and the joint was tight.
    At one stage i was considering driving without the front driveshaft as up till
    then i could not fInd the cause of vibe.
