Help: Range Rover V8 dissy plug lead order

    G'day Guys,

Can anyone help me with the correct order of the plug leads on the dizzy.

I have, starting from the front of the engine left of the clip going in a clockwise direction:

    7 3 4 5 6 1 8 2

    .......6
    ...5.......1
    .4..........8
    ...3......2
    .......7

Would like to fix ASAP - engine running very rough.

    G"day Guys,

Think I have worked out my mistake - reading the Haynes Manual!!!

    In the Haynes manual it says Firing order 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2

    with the left bank 1 3 5 7 and right bank 2 4 6 8 - cylinder numbering from front to rear.

When in fact when you look a the later diagram left and right banks are taken as if sat in the car and not when standing in front fixing the bugger!!!

As you can see, new to this V8 game!!!

here is a tip for you, get a permanent ink texta and mark the lead number on the dizzy cap, then one stripe on the number one lead, two strips on number two lead etc, makes things much easier and less worry about have I got it right or not.

Also even though it is much more expensive I would recomend buying the landrover service manual as it is the most comprehensive of the two.

    cheers
