Stage1 specific Questions
Is the stage 1's Salisbury rear hub the same size and non stage 1 Salisbury hub, and is this the same as the banjo style diff ( the one the housing bolts to front of diff)

The front and rear hubs on the Stage 1 are the same as the SIII from 1980. They change to use the same parrallel bearings as on the Range Rover classic, Defender and Disco 1.
The rear stub axles on 109 and 88 models also change at 1980 to suit the parrallel bearings.
You shouldn't use Stage 1 front stub axles on earlier SIII because they are designed to carry the CV joint.
You can however retrofit the 1980 front stub axles and hub pairs or rear hubs and stubs pairs onto any earlier Series 1, series II/IIa or SIII.
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
