Should I use new nuts and bolts on the main Bering caps and con rod big ends?
About 12 years ago I killed my first 300tdi when number 1 conrod cap bolt sheared...
So on my most recent rebuild (now done 300 hours) I used all new hardware! Even though the bolts I had taken out before block machining all met specified lengths with no thread damage etc etc
I think I ordered the hardware through Turners where I got the head from.
