epoxy filled ignition coil - any good?

I need to get a new coil and saw this:
MSD Ignition High Vibration Blaster Coil 8222 | eBay

Appears the are more resistant to being knocked about than the oil filled type.

Any opinions or experience of these ?

I had one on my V8 for a few weeks, nothing but trouble, maybe I was missing something but to me it was useless, went back to a standard Bosch coil.

Seems like a bit of a con to me. Coils last for years as they are. I carry a spare, but I've never had one fail. I'd save your dollars. You can buy 2 standard Bosch coils for that.

    Just my 2 cents.

I had one on my 93 V8 Disco for years no problems also on a few different cars no problems, if a new coil is fitted and it doesn't fix the problem then it is not the coil at fault (blackbuttdisco), Regards Frank.

I forgot to say that I didn't have a problem BEFORE I fitted the MSG coil.

For many years I played with converting automotive engines for use in aircraft.
The igniton systems were exposed to high levels of viberation and the weather/air flow...............they had to be fail safe.
Oil filled coils will fail in time, some brands are worse than others.
Bosch have a range of epoxy, transformer ????? coils.
These are viberation resistant and more water resistant by having the HT outlet and low tension terminals at opposite ends of the coil.
Bosch Ignition Coil GT40RT - Electrical, Coils - MTQ Sonic - Sonic Performance

They will interchange with normal ignition coils .
