    T-Case front output shaft movement

on a 300tdi, how much movement in the front output shaft would you expect?

the last few times i have engaged CDL in high range there has been a vibration when i back off or there is over run......

when i was greasing the drive shafts i noticed some vertical movement in the drive flange

i will invstigate a bit more tonight

    should there be any movement?

a bit of research last night indicates there is some movement......

    can this be adjusted?

i might pull the front prop sharf off and check the nut on the flange

thanks for your reply......was starting to think nobody had experienced this issue

    Kelvin,

There will be some movement just in the nature of the bearing design and assembly. If the flange is tight and the bearing is good you cannot remove it. (the slight amount of play that is)
