    Play in viscous hub

Have just put a new viscous hub in my disco it seems to be working correctly but after having it idling for a while I noticed the fan was wobbling a bit. I can visibly rock the hub By holding the fan blade (engine off) however when it is cold it is solid and can't be rocked is this normal or do I have a defective hub?

Have just come back from a run in the TDi300, so engine bay is hot, and viscous fan is not rocking.

Are you checking the wobble with the serpentine belt still in tension? By your symptoms unlikely to be your bearing in the timing cover, but never know.

Is not in the cover can actually see the movement of the hub part to the shaft that comes out of it. Has only just been fitted not even had a drive yet
