Are you sure it is inaccurate? I found it changed mine to be spot on with the GPS.

You can, and pretty easy to do. With an LT230 t's only the plastic gear you need to mess with as the steel drive gear on the output shaft is the same in all variants. AFAIK.

Gear colour indicates how many teeth. Think there is a post around somewhere with a complete list of them.
You just need to work out or check what colour gear is in there now and calculate how many teeth you need for correction to select the appropriate colour to fit.

Changing just involves removing the transducer (or gear carrier if you have speedo cable) from the output housing and swapping the gear.
2 min job if the t/case is on the bench, but is more fiddly in the vehicle.

31's its spot on but 32's its out by 5k at 100kph.

I have possibly seen that somewhere but was going by memory which may or may not have been correct, i will have a search later on.
