It is 75 AH not 90. As for charging they claim to be able to be charged faster than a standard battery, although for me this will not be an issue as I am going to charge it with one of these which has a max output of 20 amps.

As for the weight it is almost the same as the other battery I mentioned in my OP

Anyone on Aulro have thoughts on DCDC chargers? I await the responses. :sly:

I run two Optima 55ah batteries connected in parallel as a dual battery system. I'm happy with them and they work well. Anecdotally I believe they do charge quicker from the alternator as compared to my previous flooded lead battery.

The link you posted was for a 105AH AGM battery which could only take 10 amps and weighed 27KG.
These were the specs on the ebay page.
They to me do not add up.
The charge rate WILL be an issue if you are going to use a 20 amp charger as it states the maximum input to be 10 amps.


The OPTIMA will have no problems with charge rate. I guess that you are talking about the Optima when you talk about 75AH. Either that or you are more confused than I am.

AllRounder Battery, MRV Batteries, Starting & Deep Cycle Battery it's a "wet" battery but built like a SLA in that there are no visible cell caps. I bought the MRV70 model.

the Supercharge Allrounder is just a normal low maintenance wet cell battery.
I had one of those too.
It fractured a plate joiner after a long offroad trip.
It was only 12 months old but the seller had gone out of business os I had to wear it.

I have moved to an Optima in my boat. Std AGM's were better in the boat than wet cells but AGM's couldn't really take the ride going over Moreton the bay and the occasional complete discharge (nor could the wet cells) and I would get twoish years out of them. I have had a optima (blue top D31M? mix between Crank and Deep) in the boat now for over three years, took it out and had a load test done. Passed with colours. If the battery was going to get a bit of a rough ride then I'd recommend the optima.

Phil. I had not read that bit about 10 amp charge and I reckon that can't be correct. Any battery of that size should handle alternator charge.

I used to go through batteries regularly.. Canberra heat and cold is brutal until I started buying the optimas from rrturbod on the forum and I've not had a problem since. Upgraded the alt too now and they charge very fast.

I agree with Hoges and 87county.

I run the MRV70 as both an auxiliary and crank battery (I have two and swap them every 6 months). They are the Suoercharge "All rounders" at 105ah and 760cca.

I killed an 8 month old one due to my own wrong doing, but very highly recommend them.

And running one up front, and in the rear of the cab means I can swap them around if something goes wrong.
