I am looking at options for a second battery to run fridge.
I can buy this for $280 and it has a 100 AH capacity
12 Volt 105AH 780CCA Drycell AGM Battery Deep Cycle Dual HVT70ZZD Caravan 100AH | eBay
Or I can get this for $335 and it has 75 Ah capacity.

Both are similar in size and weight.
Any battery experts here for pros and cons of the two?
Dave.
I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

I got my yellow top 31A in 2005, did an outback trip for approx 6 weeks then sat around on the garage floor for a year and had not self discharged. Since then I have used it on the portable fridge during renovations and used it as a starting battery where the D2 has run it flat while sitting on in the drive for weeks at a time. Charged and brought back to serviceable condition on multiple occasions. It is still starting the D2 at the moment.
I can't speak about your other choice.
I have heard people here say that the Optima are expensive and that they are not what they used to be. If I was buying another second battery I would go another yellow top, they do a good job as a starting battery as well.
Yellowtop
FWIW I have chosen to use the same type of battery for the second battery (fridge & accessory power) on the basis that (1) they are far cheaper and (2) they can be swapped for if the cranking battery gives up the ghost in a remote situation.
I have a couple of beefs with Optima.
I have only had one yellow top back about 20 years ago when the were eyewateringly expensive at almost $500 then!
It lasted 3 years before leaking at the negative teminal.
The other beef is that for their size they have low capacity.
The spec of the AGM doesn't thrill me much either.
First the max stated amp charge at 10 amps is quite low for the battery size, although in my experience thay can take full alternator current for a while no problems.
The other is that the battery is quite light for the stated capacity at AFAIR 27KG. I would think it is more likely to be about 90AH.
Have a check of other AGMs and compare the dimensions and weight with that one.
