Ross Toughbond harmonic balancers TD5

On the Turners website it says : LHG100580 Damper crankshaft - Replacement Britpart (only available option), and it was 319.95 + 70Shipping = 389.95 GBP or approx. $717.32 delivered to Brisbane. Definitely is a Britpart item.

I also checked the LRDirect Website compared to Turners and they are cheaper for the Britpart item and have cheaper shipping in this instance, they also have two items on offer for part #LHG100580 :

1. Britpart at 243.61+ 41.99 del. = 286.60 GBP or approx. $525.50 AUD
2. Bearmach at 331.29 + 41.99 del. = 373.28 GBP or approx. $686.83 AUD delivered to Brisbane

I don't know if the Ross Performance item is twice as good as the Britpart or Bearmach, it probably is, but it would be nice to know what type of lifespan other owners are getting out of these items????

After finding out that Turners is a Britpart I think it now becomes a "Brainer"

I know $500 is a lot of coin, but it is not much if you are stuck half way up the Canning if the Britpart one fails.

If I was only using my Disco for a daily driver with a bit of local bush driving, I would settle for the cheaper option.

But as I intend to do a lot of remote stuff, including the Canning, I know which way I will be going.

Why buy from Turners overseas when you can support a local:wasntme:,
I could probably do the same for the Bearmach but no one ever asks.:mad: and when there is a problem you DON'T Have the hassle of posting it all back to pommyland for them to check it before they do anything:D
Every one always thinks get it from the Uk because it's cheaper.
