    Steering boxes

    Hi all!
Anyone an idea if the steering boxes from a 110 of 1989 vintage and another from a 1998 Discovery are interchangeable?
    Thanks for any advice!

And there are people who drive Discovery.

I believe so, although there may be detail differences in power steering hose connection threads.

The 110 could be a 3 bolt or a 4 bolt.. If it is a 3 bolt some mods will be required to fit a 4 bolt in its place. The 3 bolt is physically larger so you may have problems fitting it where a 4 bolt was.

The short answer is YES - but you need to swap drop arms.

The 4-bolt PAS box came in (early?) '86.

All 4-bolt PAS boxes from then till the end of D2 production (and probably current defenders) are the interchangeable - apart from the drop arm.
