    Removing drivers side door

Hi I'm just trying to save any grief, have to remove my door to fix some rust at the bottom of the A pillar, is there a main plug for the wires into the door I.e in the kick panel, or do I need to unplug each Item in the door? Will the plastic kick panel trim plastic fasteners be reusable? And any other hints, I'd rather not end up having a little cry buy doing stuff I don't have to ...thanks Gary

    This may not be helpful.
My wife removed my discos front drivers door by parking on a hill and leaving it in Neutral with the handbrake off. A passing tree did the trick.
    Cheers

There is a wiring harness connector that does the whole door.
From memory it is located behind the grommet/tube that goes between the body and door on the body side.

The little "C" clips near the hinges make the job of removing the doors easy, no need to undo the hinge bolts, just remove the clips and lift off, Regards Frank.

Well did my A pillar rust today, a BIG thanks to UTEMAD and TANK your advise helped so much, it's nice to see land rover does have some good design ideas...removed the door, carpet and trim moved out of harms way, had to drill the plugs that held the sill trim, cut out the rust, made a template as I had a piece of heavy Stainless steel I used this, miged the patch in, primed and painted. I then poured a ltr of old engine oil into the "A" pillar, a good way to check weld porosity so I found out, let it drain and reassembled ..so all good and thanks again
