As payment for the loan of Lady Sarah, I'm going to extract some labour from #1 son, hopefully this weekend. (The one who constantly criticizes my choice of Mistress.... yet seems very keen to borrow & drive her, seeing as he's without wheels...)

She needs her 'rotoflex' coupling replaced, being a bit cracked and old... I've bought the kit, comes with that little cup thingy that inserts into the prop shaft.
(Got the expensive set, not the $10 one on evilbay...)

It all looks straightforward, undo the front uni joint from the parking brake drum to give extra movement, undo the donut nuts and bolts, replace that little locating cup and put new rubber in and replace with new (supplied) nuts & bolts.
Check/Grease front uni and slide nipples.

What could go wrong?

I've heard that the insert can sometimes freeze in there... does enough protrude to grip it? - or would it be best to drill a hole and put a threaded bolt in for better grip.

I'll be supervising and he'll be getting dirty....

Just want to be 2 steps in front in case Things Go Pear-Shaped.
