I've been reading away and now realise it would be an instant thing with the oil pressure light coming on.
It's now next on my list of things to do.
Happy Days.
This has got to be a fluke.
I just logged in with the intention of asking a question about the oil pump bolt and there's a thread was the very first at the top of the list of new posts about rebuilding a TD5 after the oil pump has failed.
My questions is there any warning signs of it failing?
Mine is just a bit noisy when it's cold and then very smooth and quiet after about 60 degrees (after market temp gauge).
Happy Days.

To be honest, whilst there is a risk that your engine might be affected, it is only a very small number that actually experience problems, mainly off the first production run. Thanks to all online communication the fault has become everyone's knowledge and it is the bane of all Td5-owners to be reminded of it and live with the insecurity as long as you haven't taken off the sump and checked for yourself.
