SD1 engine for my Stage One ?

I own SIII Stage One V8 with LT95 gearbox. Will SD1 Rover stock engine fit into my beauty ? I mean, without any serious modifications, especially plates, cutting and welding ...
Did enybody try this marriage ?
    No risk of overheating ?
    Thanks for every advise

    Hi Adam
The motors are the same, the main difference is in the carby setup, some SDI were EFI,a disco or rangie EFI will also swap!!!!
I think the Stage 1 has a lower ratio transfercase than a rangie, swaping the gearing would give you better on road performance/economy.

Some of the car engines are high compression.
