Ambient & Intake temps TD5
Does anyone have a rough idea what sort of temperatures I should be seeing from the Ambient Air Temperature and Air Intake Temp sensors on a TD5? The sensors are located in the air box (pre turbo), and in the intake manifold (post intern cooler).
Should the Ambient Temperature actually be close to the outside ambient temperature, because mine seems to be sitting much higher, between 50 & 60 degrees?

What are you checking the temps with? I ask because even in the last update that had listed TD5 changes the Nanocom didn't report temperatures for the air box sensor.
On the iDiag which does report the Ambient Air Temp reading from the airbox I noticed that on a hot sunny day airbox temperatures were at least 10°C higher than what the external temp sensor on the Aircon was reporting. I currently have a gulf spec "cool air" intake fitted that draws air from the door gap on the passenger side which might make some difference to the temperature of air drawn from the inner guard.
cheers

Yep, my bad. Reading the wrong entry on the Nanocom. It is the intake manifold temp, which seems a lot more reasonable.
