TD5 Leaking Fuel Pressure Regulator
The fuel pressure regulator on my '99 TD5 is leaking. LR only sell a complete unit - housing, regulator etc. The costs are $375 for the unit plus around $8 for a base gasket. The leak is from the regulator unit itself and most probably only requires a couple of O-rings which LR in their infinite wisdom don't want to know anything about! Has anyone out there re-kitted the unit with O-rings? If so, please pass on any useful tips.

Yep, looked like a veritable bastard of a job. Had LR do it for $600 odd dollars to save my sanity. The LR tech's conclusion was the same. Looks like the designer took a fuel pressure regulator and built a truck around it to protect it from prying hands. This particular design engineer should not be permitted to breed!

8O Sounds like not much has changed at LR HQ with design rules.
Though I do notice designers for the newer vehicles don't overuse of 7/16 bolts in obscure places, like they did on mine, so they must have learned something over time.
