    D1 3.9 lifters?

Hey guys, I've been busy repalcing and cleaning some goodies on my D1 v8. On the list was to replace all the lifters, clean out the sump etc. So I changed all the lifters, and now I can''t seem to get them to firm up. Is there anything I should do/have done to them before I fitted them. I soaked them in oil for like half a day but they still seem soft.

Or what would you guys do if you replaced yours.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards
    Cedric

Not sure if it was right, but I always used to stick them in a bath of clean oil, then use a push rod on them to pump the oil through them properly. Never had a problem once doing that. That was not with LR lifters, but I should think the theory is all the same.

I did that with my lifters- pumped them by hand. They still felt soft and all but one bleed up straight away.
