Thread: LT77-Trouble

Hi folks,
just sorted out the starting issue, next thing I know is the gear box playing up... Difficult no to go nuts.
The box worked well until, all of a sudden, yesterday it was hard to get it down in 3rd again. It felt as if the slot wasn't there anymore. Later even 5th was affected in a similar manner. Overall, the gear change feels considerably more notchy than usual. Sometimes, when going from reverse to 1st, it feels that 1st is there where you would expect 3rd to be. Mysterious. It is mostly the "upper" gears (1,3,5) that play up, but on occasion even 2 and 4 can be difficult to engage. When the gear finally can be located and pops in, there is no grinding or crunching (except in 3rd, but that has always been this way and was remedied by using a double-declutch procedure). The clutch works well otherwise and doesn't seem to have slip. Oil is in the box (Redline MTL) and it doesn't look or smell strange.
What do you suggest? Is there an easy fix or do I have to take the gear box out(which I don't fancy somehow). Any advice, gentlemen?

The springs on the shifter can wear a groove in the ball on the gearstick,I just pulled mine out filled with weld seemed to fix it.If you look close at the pic you can see the groove,make sure you put the springs back correctly, they are different.
