I am in the proceeds of rebuilding the LT95 gearbox / transfer case and having problems locating the information in how to set up the correct side gear spacer or thrust washer, to give me the correct clearance between side gears and bevel gears can anyone help me thank you .

G'day Peter, and welcome to AULRO.
Setting one up is a bit of trial and error. The bevel gear thrust washers are all the same thickness so you have to adjust it up with the thrust washers under the side gears. Put a set in and bolt up the two halves and with a spare set of shafts try rotating the innards and see what it feels like. Any movement means you need thicker shims, and a "notchy" feel means less. When it feels firm but not tight and rotates smoothly you have it about right. There are both brass and steel shims available for under the bevel gears. Pity they didn't design it so you could check the clearance under the side gears. Don't forget to loctite the bolts on the case halves and the low gear when you get it right.
