Disco 2 TD5 auto gearbox leak

Hi all, a first post for me, hope some of you may know how to help me out. My Disco is losing auto gearbox oil, the gearbox is dry on the outside but the transfer case is wet with red oil which is obviously auto gearbox oil. The transfer case x-member is also wet. Any ideas where the oil is coming from as I can't find an obvious point for it? It doesn't drip when the car is sitting, only when driving under pressure. Any hints are most welcome, thanks!

Sounds like RTC4650 OUPUT SHAFT SEAL, you need to pull the transfer case off, pull out the seal on Auto and replace it. not a big job replacing the seal itself, but a mongrel of a job that you have to pull the transfer case off. If you have a transmission adapter on a wheeled trolley jack then you may be able to unbolt the 2 and wheel the transfer back and replace seal and wheel it back on. I would replace the transfer seal while you have it apart.
to get to the top bolts it may be worthwhile pulling the centre console out and getting access from above .
Hope this helps,
cheers, Mario
