Thread: Factory Speaker Cable Route - Defender

I am trying to fit some replacement speakers in the back of my 2003 Defender.

My original plan to run the new wires from the existing speakers has come a bit unstuck because access to the factory fitted speakers in the back is blocked by the built in drawer system.

So now, I'm looking to access the speakers wires from another location but where?

Does anyone here know where the cables are routed between the plug at the back of the radio until they reappear at the rear speakers?

Any help appreciated!!

Mine ar in the roof as I routed them. I routed them behind the dash, up the pillars and down the sides just in the roof lining. I dont remember mine having rear speakers as standard but is a 2000 model.
