But LJ and Sierra 16" rims are only 4.5 inches wide, and some tyre fitters won't fit 7.50s to those rims, and you can forget about fitting 235's. By fitting 16x7 rims from a GV (either steel or alloy), you open up a far wider range of tyre fitments, both in width and diameter, and tread patterns.
I think GVs are a different stud pattern. I have 16 x 6 wheels on mine that I ordered straight out of China. Have 11 of them with +15 offset and 2 sets of tyres, 7.50 / 16 and 235/85s. I did put some 7.50 / 16 Roadgrippers on LJ rims at one point and they weren't the best fit.
This is it with 7.50s. These only work because I put a Sierra transfer in with 6.5 : 1 low range gears. Also note I had to make a complete new front clip and tub the rear to clear them. The Stockman in the background has 235/75 x 15s and 2" bodylift.

SE Vitara, SV Vitara, SQ Grand Vitara are all 5 on 5.5" (139.7mm), same as LJ and Sierra. JB Grand Vitara (aka New GV) is 5 on 4.5" (114.3mm)
