Unless you want a huge repair bill I would keep doing 50k tranny services, thats my advice. Pat
Hello to all,
I am trying to source a maintenance manual for 2008 Range Rover Sport 3.6V8TDI maintenance manual, either electronic or paper(if they are still produced).
Also I have had quite a costly service recently completed on the transmission at 130,000 kms is this unusual and or should I plan a more frequent servicing regime for the Transmission, transfer case and diffs etc??
Thanks in advance

Hi, I have just had my second tranny service at 130k. Now I own it it will get every 50k - not doing this kills them quick. Your first service will include changing the plastic sump to a steel pan and this is a one off job. Servicing will be easier and the tranny better protected from now on. I also had the tranny flushed to make sure there was no old dirty fluid in the converter and valve body too - if you are going to spend mega-bucks on the fluid make sure it does not get contaminated as soon as it goes in!!
I have the full workshop manual, wiring diagrams and service requirements and intervals all in pdf. They are huge so I have uploaded them to dropbox. If you send me your email address I can 'share' the folder with you and you should be able to save them onto your computer. If you dont know about drop box, google it and its free and enables file sharing, pictures, you name it. Works well. second thought - here is a link: www.dropbox.com
IIRC - If you jump onto TOPiX (the owner section of the LandRover website), you should be able to find workshop manuals there.
