So, do you have a pedal or not?

    Gday
I'd be checking the booster. Is it getting vacuum?
If yes, maybe the new master is bypassing internally. I have seen it twice.
    Good luck

Have you actually bedded in the brakes yet? This will create an almost 'no brakes ' situation until you have done this.

Accelerate to 80km/h, apply brakes firmly until slowing to around 30km/h. Repeat 4 to 5 times allowing adequate time to cool inbetween applications.

Not so long ago I had my brakes fail on the Disco resulting in me running into a solid gate. The cause was the master cylinder, it seems that internally it was leaking some of the pressure, so when pushing the pedal it was not applying the full force to the brakes.

After I replaced this and went to bleed the brakes, I found that one of the calipers was leaking in the bleed nipple. It was a strange issue. I ended up rebuilding the calipers including new bleed nipples and giving the seats a very good clean up and check.

Nanocom was also used to bleed the system due to having replaced parts above the ABS module.

And some more detail. Which Disco? What model/engine/year? ABS or no?

What year model Disco?, 1993 Disco front brakes have 2 brake lines into front calipers and 3 bleed nipples, one on the outside, which you can't see while the wheel is on.
If this is the type of brake caliper you have (2 brake lines into caliper) the outside nipple needs to be bled in sequence with the top inside nipple, otherwise you will have none or very little brakes, Regards Frank.

Booster would be what I would be checking

Driving normally to bed the pads in is all you need.

As previously stated, check the booster. I would be inspecting the check valve in particular.

    I disagree. http://www.centricparts.com/files/Ce...n%20Theory.pdf
    and this, too;
Instructions for bedding in your brakes

After almost 20 years working on these vehicles and others, I would stress this is an important part of replacing brakes.

    Year?
    ABS?
Is the pedal hard or soft?
    Does the pedal sink?
