Thread: DEFENDER HAND BRAKE

I guess that depends on where else you plan for it to be.

If it's just the handle in the way perhaps you could convert (customise?) to series 2 style where the handle is short, straight and close to the floor through the existing hole. If you were really determined could probably convert it to cable activation and mount the handle almost anywhere.

Don't know what mounting it somewhere else would achieve as usually creates some other problem, as happens with most things that get fiddled with. :?

I think it can be moved.
If I remember corectly it can be shifted down to the floor.

Someone here is sure to know for sure but.

I've read reviews of Defenders which say the handbrake hits your knee.
This leads me to conclude either:
1) The reviewer is very very short, or
2) The reviewer has had the lower part of his left leg removed, or
3) The reviewer has never driven a Defender, but has read stories written by persons 1 or 2.
