    D2 Air Suspension

One for the D2 Air Suspension gurus.

A mate found his D2 listing to the right yesterday, airbag totally deflated. We couldn't find any defects in the bag or plumbing. We removed the compressor and bench tested it, all working. Replaced it but there is no voltage present on the power plug. Fuses and relays (RL5) all tested good. When we short the contacts of the relay the compressor will run and start to air-up the bags.

It seems that the ECU does not control the Air Compressor. The question is how does this system work? Sensors on the rear radius arms talk to the ECU. ECU decides what needs to happen by either pumping up or letting air out via the valves located in the Air Compressor tray.

So the big question is, what is wrong with the control system that it does not want to activate/control the Air Compressor?

    Thanks, Jurgens.

The doors need to be closed for the system to operate correctly.
Do a soapy water check around the bag folds at full extension, it is usually a bag problem.
The Good Oil has a lot of information on this.

This just shows what an awesome site this is.

Tried it with the doors closed and the system worked .
    Thanks Paradox

We will do the soapy water trick in the morning to see if the bags are ok.

Once again thank you very much.

    Cheers, Jurgens.
