Here is the 'solution' to the inherent interference in [Td5's] - some Toyotas suffer too! i.e. not being able to monitor your H.F. radio on any channel while the engine is running due to the amount of background noise caused by the injector solenoids.
A rather expensive $200+ 'noise eliminating speaker' from the U.K. 'using DSP Digital Signal Processing is the answer!
Just connect the bhi NES10-2 to your H.F. radio in place of the standard speaker [a power source is necessary for the speaker too] set the noise cancellation level [filter level] that you want/need and hey presto much improved intelligibility and signal clarity... something unattainable in my Td5 cf. to a previous Tdi unless you switched off the engine.
