Hi Hiline, This is only a suggestion but many moons ago, I use to make and install car alarm.
I had one situation where after fitting an alarm to an old ford, a few days later, the customer rang up and said that some times when he put his right-hand blinker on, the alarm’s siren would sound. ops:

I sent the installer back to service the alarm, but he could not find anything wrong and the alarm did not sound once even though he tried it a large number of times. 8O

A week later same thing and same result when the installer went there.
A week or so later the customer rang with the same problem, so this time I asked could he bring the car to the workshop.
This he did and as he turned in to the driveway at the workshop, my wife noticed a few sparks fall from under the front of the car as he turned into a work space.

After much investigating it was found that it was not when he put on his right blinker that the problem arose.
The thing is that he would put on his right blinker and the he would turn right. It was actually the later function that sounded the siren.
It was found that on a tight turn, the steering knuckle would rub against a wire loom in the engine bay.

This may be your problem, just a suggestion. Cheers 8)

Not that I recommend you do this as a permanent repair, but for $15 you can buy a 20amp circuit breaker that plugs into the RR fuse box (just you won't be able to put the lid back on). This is a handy thing to keep in the glove box for "limp home mode" repairs as well as the times when you're trying to figure out the problem and you blow 50 fuses during your "diagnostics".

Another diagnostic tool is to place a head light bulb (say a sealed beam)across the fuse (using wires ofcourse) . If there is no short, the current will travel through the filament and power the end device. If there is a short, the earth will cause the bulb to light.
