Another dash light question

The gauges in the dash - esp on RHS are badly lit and I presume some of the bulbs are not working.

The manual describes how to replace them, and they are apparently push in type globes. Are they coloured (green as per the dash illumination) or does the colour come from a filter of some sort in between the bulb and dash face. :?:

If coloured, are these bulbs available in different colours (eg blue) :?:

Does anyone know what these bulbs are (ie model, name, type etc so I can purchase some at an electrical store or auto outlet) or are they only avail from LR. :?:

Thanks

Hi Vlad
They are probably clear globes with a coulored condom!!!!!! Narva make assorted coulored and also size condoms to suit different size globes.
See an auto electrician or supercrap, they should be able to fit you out with suitable globes and condoms

If they're anything like the globes in the back of a Rangy dash, they're clear globes, with a green plastic thingy (techo term) inside the gauge that the light shines through.

I took apart a spare voltage gauge I had to try and change the colour, but it looks like it could be more trouble than it's worth. I'm still working on the LED trail to replace dash globes - purely because of the ease of colour change compared to changing the thingy's.

I ended up just rocking down to Autopro and showing them the globe and saying "I need 6 of these little buggers..". No problems, except I think the price was a small shock iirc.

Vlad,
I don't know if this link has been posted up before about dash lights but it is just something I had saved in my favourites. It explains how to replace the bulbs with brighter LED's. Hope this helps,
