255/85 R16 on a defender??

Just wondering if anyone has got 255/85 R16 on their defender. I've been told they'll rub on the radius arms pretty bad and reduce the turning circle. Although they'd be sweet if they can fit. Sorry if this topic has been brought up before!
Any experience would be great
Cheers

Disco rims (unaltered offset) & 2" lift work fine. Just a little rubbing on the radius arms which is easily adjusted.

2 inch lift is fine, but what do you reckon about standard rangie rims?

A word of caution on Disco rims. Make sure you go for older ones. New Disco stud PCD of 125mm versus required PCD of 165mm as on Fender and earlier Discos.

PCD :?: :?

I suppose mine must be old ones - they fit anyway.

More likely there'd be more older ones than new ones around anyway, I'd say. Everyone gets their Disco new with alloys these days...
