ABS indicator light won't go out, ABS not working
It hs been some 12 months since my last problem,I think thats a rarity.
The other night I was going into town and had to hit the brakes hard to avoid hitting a nocturnal creature( a hoon that pulled out infront of me)
anyway the short of it is the orange ABS light came on and now won;t go out indicating the ABS system is active. I checked the fuses they seem ok.
I tested the ABS and it doesn;t work now, Is it something i can do or is it something i have to go to the dealer for.( I'll have to start saving now if thats the case,or take out a loan)
On another note, I recall reading a post, last year about how to fix the oil line leaks by changing over the hoses and connections. At the time it wasn't a problem but now it is, tightening the connections makes it leak more, now its getting annoying ,dripping oil puddles on the driveway and then on our cat ( he is white) who likes to clean the bottom of the car with his head. Can anyone remember who and when it was written?
By the way my 'Discovery is a slug problem" has sorted itself out it runs really well on Mobil diesel for some reason, put another brand in it and it has a tendency of slowing right down. Thanks diggers for your advice.
vehicle is 96 disco TDI auto

Could be a problem with the sensors. If they have failed, you need to replace them. Not cheap unfortunatly.
Hope it's a simple fix though.
